Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information iHopGo ("we", "us", "our") processes when you use our website and the iHopGo desktop application (the "App"). We minimize data collection: coordinates, saved places, and recent location actions remain on your Mac, subject to the map-service disclosures below.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

• Location history. We do not receive or maintain a server-side history of coordinates you select or simulate. Map tiles and search queries are exceptions handled by third-party map services as explained in Section 4.
• Payment card details. Patreon handles membership payments when checkout opens. We do not receive or store your full card number or payment credentials.
• Account passwords. Discord handles sign-in to your iHopGo account. We do not receive your Discord or Patreon password.

2. Account and Membership Information

Our account service processes your product account identifier, verified email and sign-in identity supplied through Discord; device and installation identifiers used to bind access; trial, membership and access records; and standard request metadata such as IP addresses. It uses these records to authenticate you, enforce device limits, and validate access.

When you link Patreon, we obtain your Patreon identity and membership information, including account and member identifiers, display name, tier, payment status and billing period. We retain the account association and subscription status to synchronize access. The temporary Patreon authorization token used during linking is not retained. Short-lived access tokens are held in memory. On macOS, the App stores a refresh credential locally to restore sign-in for up to 14 days from login; restoration requires an internet connection.

3. Payments and Optional Discord Community

Patreon collects the information required for billing under its privacy policy. We use membership and billing status to provide access and resolve support requests. We do not match purchases to product accounts solely by email; you explicitly link and confirm your Patreon identity in the App.

Connecting Discord in your Patreon settings is a separate, optional step for community access. Patreon’s official integration manages the membership roles in our server. Discord and Patreon process that connection under their own policies. A server role does not grant App access.

4. Third-Party Map Services

The App displays maps and performs place searches using third-party map and geocoding services. When you run a search or load map tiles, your query and standard request metadata (such as IP address) are sent to those services to return results. Searches are only sent when you explicitly submit them. These services operate under their own privacy policies.

5. Website

This website is a static site. It does not use advertising trackers or set marketing cookies. It stores only your language preference in your browser. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and operational purposes.

6. Support Communications

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to and resolve your request, and we retain support correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose and for our legitimate record-keeping.

7. How We Use Information

• To provide, activate, and validate your subscription and license.
• To provide customer support and handle refund or cancellation requests.
• To comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

8. Data Retention

We retain account, device, membership and support records as needed to provide service, resolve billing disputes and meet applicable obligations. Payment records are also retained by Patreon under its policy. Removing the App does not cancel a Patreon membership or delete server-side account records. You can request account deletion in the App account page, or contact support. Cancel renewal separately in Patreon before confirming deletion; deletion does not stop Patreon billing or delete your Discord or Patreon account. Account deletion removes active product account data and queues authentication cleanup for retry if necessary. A non-reversible identity fingerprint is retained to prevent deleted credentials from restoring access. Product-scoped device and installation fingerprints are retained without an account association to enforce one trial per device. Security audit records, infrastructure logs, previously sent support correspondence and existing backups are handled under their applicable retention and deletion requirements. Locally saved places and settings remain until you remove those App data.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights regarding information we hold, contact us at the address below. For information held by a payment partner, we will help direct your request or you may contact the partner identified on your receipt.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. International Transfers

Our service providers, including Patreon, Discord, hosting and map providers, may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards under applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on this website.
